During his tenure, the company's sales rose more than 16-fold, to over $15 billion in fiscal 2000, and net earnings increased 18-fold to over $1.4 billion. Emerson's record of increased earnings per share and dividends for each of the 27 years that he served as CEO is among the longest for consistent performance in U.S. business. He currently serves on the boards of Anheuser-Busch, Morgan Stanley, IBM and SBC Communications.

Scott Friestad joined the SEC over ten years ago and currently is an Associate Director in the Division of Enforcement. In his current position, Scott is responsible for directing a broad range of the SEC’s domestic and international enforcement activities, including investigations involving public company accounting fraud and financial disclosure violations, insider trading, Regulation FD, FCPA compliance, and misconduct by broker-dealers, investment advisers, hedge funds and other regulated entities. Prior to joining the Commission, Scott was a litigator for six years at Dewey Ballantine in New York. He received both his college and law degrees from the University of Iowa.
